Ruhul Rahat ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Simple Receipt Organizer mobile application (the "App") under the package name com.simplelog.receipts.

We are deeply committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy details our practices concerning the processing of information gathered through our App, with a strict emphasis on local device containment.

1. Summary (Privacy by Design & Zero Server Collection)

The Simple Receipt Organizer is built with a **100% offline-first, local-first database architecture**.

• No Account Required: You do not need to register, verify an email, or sign up to use the App.
• No Cloud Sync: All logged transactions, merchant profiles, tax categories, and receipt attachment photos are saved exclusively on your local device. We do not operate external database servers, and your financial data is never uploaded to the cloud.
• No Background Syncs: The App does not perform background data syncs, location tracking, or outbound analytical reporting.

2. Information We Process

Since all workflows take place entirely on your device, we have zero access to your information:

A. Data You Input (Stored Locally Only)

You manually enter and manage the following details:

• Merchant names, purchase descriptions, and transaction dates.
• Pricing amounts, tax categories (e.g. Business Expense, Office Supplies), and custom notes.
• Receipt photos/attachments (Receipt photos captured via camera or selected from device gallery, stored strictly within the App's local directories).

All entries and images are saved securely in your device's private sandbox partition and are never transmitted to us or any third parties.

B. Device Permissions

The App may request the following permissions to enable specific user actions:

• Camera: Required solely to allow you to take photos of your receipts to attach to your ledger logs. We do not access your camera in the background.
• Storage / Photos / Files / Media Access: Required to allow you to upload existing receipt photos/PDFs from your gallery or compile and export your expense report inventory locally to CSV files. We do not scan, browse, or read any other files or directories on your device.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

• No Third-Party Sharing: We do not collect, monetize, sell, trade, or share any data inputted into the App with third-party advertising companies, data brokers, or analytics suites.
• No Possibility of Disclosing Data: Because your records are stored solely on your device and are never synchronized to our systems, we do not possess any of your data and cannot disclose it to any third parties or legal authorities.

4. Data Control and Deletion

• Complete Control: You hold absolute ownership over your logs. You can delete or edit any transaction entry or receipt attachment at any time.
• Permanent Data Deletion: If you wish to wipe all data permanently, you can easily do so by:
  1. Going to your Android system settings, choosing the App, and selecting "Clear Storage" or "Clear Data."
  2. Uninstalling the App.

Uninstalling the App permanently and immediately deletes all local files, database directories, and captured receipt images created by the App. This data cannot be recovered.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Our App is not directed at children under the age of 13. Since the App collects zero personal data or device identifiers, it is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

6. Updates to This Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy periodically. We will alert you to changes by publishing the updated version on this page and revising the "Last Updated" date. You are encouraged to review this page regularly.
